Pricing Your Home to Sell


If you're getting ready to put your house on the market, it is most important that you set the price correctly.  It takes thorough research by a professional to price your house competitively.  The first 30 days on the market are the most important.  Your home will get the most activity during this time.  If you're serious about selling your home, make sure to set the right price.  Jay Heavener can help with the process.  Once Jay has performed the market analysis, he will present you with a high end price and low end, depending on market comparables.  Then you, the seller, will pinpoint the initial listing price. 

However, if you don't agree with the market comparables a professional appraisal can be performed to determine the price.  This will typically cost around $350-$500.

A well-presented home sells faster.  It's important to have your home in tip-top shape to obtain the highest possible price.  Your home should have curb appeal, make the repairs that you've been putting off.  This ensures that when a contract is placed, your property is ready to sell with less time and money needed to obtain a quicker closing.  You want your property to appear at its very best.

Four:  Receive an Offer

As soon as the offer is received, you will be notified of the offer and negotiations will take place to obtain the highest achievable price for your property.

Five:  Accept the Offer

Six:  Close the Sale
