Procedures to Ensure Maximum Benefit from An Auction

Step 1  -- The auctioneer meets with the Seller to determine what is to be auctioned & to understand the Seller's expectations.  This process includes determining the type of auction to be utilized (at auction versus absolute auction).

Step 2 -- The auctioneer will present a proposal which details the auction date, location, time of auction, cost of advertising, sales commission and other miscellaneous matters.  When the terms are agreed upon, a contract is initiated.

Step 3 -- At this point, steps are taken to assure the auction confirms with the Uniform Commercial Code, any city, county or state requirements, to verify title to the property and notify creditors of the auction.

Step 4 -- An advertising campaign is prepared to help assure good attendance.  Newspaper ads, handbills, posters, direct mailing, radio and TV advertising are some of the most commonly used advertising campaigns.

Step 5 -- According to the Sellers' wishes, auctioneers may take the responsibilty of preparing the merchandise before the auction.  Much cleaning, indexing, grouping, organizing and often repairing and painting take place so that the property will be more marketable on auction day.

Our goal is to turn your real estate into money!
